Btrfs is famous for its rich features, and now in-band de-duplication is a new one coming into the already long feature list. In this presentation, Qu Wenruo, co-author of btrfs in-band de-duplication, will give a brief introduction on the existing btrfs feature first, then discuss about the new de-duplication feature, along with the impact to existing features, then look forward to possible stability improvement inspired by de-duplication.
Qu Wenruo is a dedicated btrfs developer, has contributed btrfs async-thread rework, btrfs qgroup rework to kernel and variants fix/enhancement to btrfs-progs.
